Beachcomber Cruises and Picton Water Taxis terms and conditions

- Check in is 30 minutes prior to all departures

- Pricing is in NZD New Zealand Dollar unless otherwise stated

- Child rates are from 5-14 years inclusive

- - Beachcomber Cruises reserves the right to amend timetables, cancel departures, substitute vessels and equipment, alter ticket prices and alter cruise routes at any time without prior notification due to unforeseen circumstances.

- a 2% surcharge applies to credit card transactions

- Please make our staff aware if you have any condition that may affect your comfort or enjoyment of your tour prior to boarding

- Due to circumstances beyond our control, return times to Picton may be altered from advertised. On board and check in staff will do there best to make you aware of this prior to boarding. Please make us aware if you have a travel connection.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

- Cancellations made 48 hours prior to departure date are eligible for a refund minus a 10% fee

- Cancellations made within 48 hours can be re booked for a different date, no refund is due

- We can hold your booking in credit for up to 12 months from your travel date if desired, after this no refund is due

- If you fail to show up for your departure, no refund and no credit is due

- Refunds are provided via the method the payment was originally made

- Accommodation and Transport Packages are non-refundable within 10 days of departure, date changes may be possible at late notice subject to accommodation T & C’s
 

Weather

- In the case of extreme weather conditions Beachcomber Cruises will contact you to discuss your options

- If Beachcomber Cruises cancels a departure due to bad weather, a full refund will be given, or the option to change to another date

- We do not provide refunds for unfavorable weather (ie rain) however you have the option to change to another date

- We recommend all passengers prepare for unfavorable weather with appropriate footwear, spare warm clothing, and rain protection

 

Luggage Transfers

We transfer all guest luggage with care however bags should be sufficiently packed to withstand the usual circumstances and effects of water transport. We do not take responsibility or provide compensation for items damaged during transport and suggest you have your own personal and travel insurance. Your luggage may be passed through many hands during transfer, from our boat to hotel staff, to check in staff or at campsites other operators may place bags on top of yours – for this reason we recommend all items as contained inside your bag or securely attached.

- Luggage is only transferred North to South, no exceptions

- There is a strict luggage weight limit of 20kg per item transported

- We recommend a sturdy and waterproof pack that fastens securely 

- We recommend that all personal and valuable items are carried with you

- We cannot transfer supermarket shopping bags or carrier bags

- No walking poles attached to bags as this can cause damage to other bags

 

Health and Safety 

- Whilst ashore you are responsible for your own health and safety and the health and safety of those in your care

- Please listen to all instructions given by crew and staff members

- Your skipper will provide you with a full and comprehensive safety briefing including emergency actions once on board

 

Additional Information

- There is a public pay and display car park on Wellington Street available for a cost of $6 per day

- You must check into our office to exchange a booking voucher or online confirmation

- a landing fee of $5 per adult applies when disembarking at Resolution Bay, this fee is paid to the jetty owners upon arrival

- We do not refund your return portion of your ticket if you miss your pickup or choose an alternative method of transport back to Picton

- Please be at your pickup location at the time specified to avoid delays

- Please check if you need to purchase a QCTL pass prior to boarding
