Arapawa Homestead - Tory Channel
A chance for you to explore a beautiful part of the Queen Charlotte sounds down the Tory Channel with the Arapawa homestead located at the entrance looking out to the Cook Strait.
The New Zealand ferries normally use the Tory Channel as the principal channel between Cook Strait and the Marlborough Sounds, cruise via salmon and mussel farms.

Private - Picton Water Taxi:
Private water taxis can be arranged to pick up and depart at the time of your choice and take approximately 60 minutes in each direction
$360.00 one way for a group of 1-4 persons + $50.00 per person after the first 4 people.
Scheduled - Beachcomber Cruises Mail Boat Departures:
Departing Picton at 1:30pm Tuesday and Fridays, and picking up from Arapawa Homestay at approximately 3:30pm
$69.00 one way per adult / $51.00 one way per child (5-14)
$109.00 return per adult / $73.00 return per child (5-14)
Please note that you must bring all of your own food and drinks as there is nothing to purchase and no shops once you get to the island. Gunyah is equipped with a kitchen and laundry for your use.

The north facing natural timbered house is nestled in private bush with outstanding sea views, only a 15 minute water taxi from Picton. Perfect for a romantic getaway, honeymoon or weekend away, Titoki lodge only accommodates adults.

Tawa Cove – Endeavour Inlet

Situated in Endeavour Inlet, Queen Charlotte Sound, Tawa Cove is your slice of paradise: accessible only by boat or walking/biking via the Queen Charlotte Track. With no close neighbours, we offer the perfect place for relaxing & soaking up the serenity, having a drink by the waterside, or you may like to be more active & enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding. Tucked away in the native bush hillside, the self-contained solid timber cabins are steps away from the private waterfront & jetty. The cabins are located in close proximity to the hosts waterfront home so whilst you have your privacy of a self-contained cabin, they are always available as your hosts for anything you may require.
Tawa Cove is approximately a 4 hour walk from Ship Cove making it the perfect first night on the Queen Charlotte Track.

Tawa Cove Cabins does not have any restaurants or shops nearby however they have self catering options to make meals easy. Complimentary breakfast is provided to prepare yourself and BBQ hampers available to purchase for dinner. Some snack items are also available to purchase upon request or you can bring your own meals.
